Eva Longoria is a beautiful lady with or without make up. But reassuring to know that even gorgeous gals can look just like the rest of us without their mascara on. Would you look twice if she walked past you on the school run/supermarket checkout/petrol station forecourt looking like she does on the left? OK, so you might think, ooh, cute smile. BUT if she sashayed (she looks like she would sashay not simply walk) her cute butt past you looking like the pic on the right...well...maybe you would wonder why she was so dressed up for school/Tescos/the Shell garage but then you would look in awe...
Celebrity beauty - it's all an illusion isn't it?

Oooo yeah, I much prefer the minimal make-up look. Easily. Let the natural beauty shine through, don’t cover it up with make-up. And I don’t just mean Eva – she’s nice enough but she doesn’t rock my boat.
Seriously though she looks like George from Rainbow in the pic on the right.
I am sitting at the computer, in my dressing gown, hungover (kids at inlaws) eating a wispa. Feel much better now, cheers x
Dave - I like George from Rainbow. He was my favourite. Always wondered why he was a boy, yet was pink with lovely eyelashes...
MH - Ooh I hope it was a good night out, lucky you having a hangover AND being in our dressing gown eating a wispa at 11.54. How terribly decadent...
I have a friend whose husband has never seen her without make up. Can you believe that? In 8 years he has never seen her sans slap.
She is gorgeous too. She doesn't need all that fake colour which, in my humble opinion, makes her look older.
Im far too lazy to put make up on every single day hehe!! luckily most people think I look ok with out it (or at least no one tells me otherwise lol)
My sister however, wont even open the front door to the postman unless she has her make up on and hair done, I think shes nuts!
Great blog by the way, I found it while playing with the black box ;o)
Yes, what you say about celebrity is true but then maybe all beauty is an illusion. I know I feel 10 times better with some masacara on and my favorite lipstick.
xxx
You are certainly right with this one. Isn't she one of those celebs who graciously admits this though and even talks about how many people it takes to make her look like that? There's a lot of media speculation over here at the moment as to whether she is pregnant or not.
oh thank you for this, you're right, I do feel much better x
I think she looks a lot younger without the slap. A bit like that pic of Gwyneth Paltrow recently without makeup. That thought is comforting to me anyway, as I hardly wear any makeup, mainly through sheer laziness!
Ah the magic of black eye liner and lip gloss! My Grandad had a lovely expression... "eyes like p*ss holes in the snow" I believe it was! Thats what mine look like without liner and blackened lashes!
Its nice to know that they don't all really look glossy all the time... I think! It does take away my illusion of the land we can all go to where we'd all look fab all the time tho... I quite like thinking about that place when I am wiping up snot/spilt milk/poo/3 day old food crumbs etc
ahhh yes, i feel much miore reassured now. But, where did i put that stylists number, because i could do with some celebrity slap now and then, just to remind myself am not a total minger...
I never would have recognized her! Still pretty, but I agree, she looks like any one of us "common folk".
Gosh even though those two picutres are side by side, I didn't realize who it was. Maybe there's hope for me.
Hi, came here via the little black box. Great contrasting pics - somewhere in the middle will probably be perfect and manageable on a day to day basis.
I agree with weenie! Her glam look involves an awful lot of makeup, and she's already pretty.
Black box sent me here, too:) HI!
I should have come visit ages ago...
Love these two photies. Isn't it true though, everyone looks better with even just a touch of makeup. He helps me look alive in the morning on the half-past eight school run! Thanks for the giggle!
